I didn't understand that exactly either. Maybe he's made some modifications that require cross-platform porting. I'm hoping Graeme will pick up on this send some help his way... |

I'm no programmer, but why is it that practically every other mod out there seems to be able to run on the mac version of Q3A? It's not like RA3 is doing anything more difficult than something like Q3F...Quake 3 fortress seem immensely more complex, but they managed ok. There's also plenty of teamplay style mods that mimic what RA3 is doing by starting with all weapons, keeping track of new stats etc. I think it's a cop out and that he doesn't really want to bother learning what he needs to do a mac version.
Also wasn't the whole point of the virtual machine mumbo jumbo so that all mods were platform independent? I guess I'm just not buying it. Someone elighten me. |
